Callirhytis quercussuttoni
(Hymenoptera: Cynipidae)
Old stem gall caused by gall wasps on Quercus agrifolia. The wasps have long ago emerged, leaving exit holes. Gall here was sawed in half to expose the larval chambers where the wasp larvae developed and pupated. |
