Callirhytis eldoradensis (Hymenoptera: Cynipidae)

This Quercus agrifolia acorn was stunted by gall wasps. The wasps have already developed and left. The acorn was cut in half to show some of the larval chambers, above the embryo of the acorn and under where the cap was.
