Gall type #107

  • All of these galls on this page are similar to Antron douglasii. It seems that all these galls could be A. douglasii galls. If they're not A. douglasii galls, it's then not clear if the galls represent galls from one, two, or three undescribed species. Images 1 through 7 seem similar to each other (like Russo (2012) Plant Galls Addendum page 21). Image 8 seems similar to Russo (2006) Page 169, Plate 130. Image 9 seems somewhat different from the others but is also on a different species of scrub oak. Figure 93 in Weld 1957 shows A. douglasii galls on scrub oak leaves that look like the older, drier galls in Images 4 through 7.
